Smog check

anyone know of a mechanic in Austin TX. who will pass my 87 FJ60?
Haven't really done anything to the engine but it seems to always fail!

If you can, post your test results. Based on the results, we can advise you how to make your rig pass smog at most test stations,
assuming you still have your smog equip hooked up.

Haven't done the check yet but I'm anticipating it's going to fail again. I will try posting results once it's complete. Everything seems to be hooked up. Thanks for the quick response!

No problem. Alot of the time it is the catalytic converter that
needs to be replaced. Check the recent thread on catalytics and
passing California Smog.

Downey rep gives some good advice.
