And the installation video I made:

You are too fast for me ... lol !!

Changed it.
Ha Ha, I commented on your video on Youtube about your install hoping you would get back with me.. I asked you if you had enough cable length to reach the battery . My other question was.....was it really necessary to mount the control box to the side ? it looks like it would have fit just centered on the winch. Also, how come you made a bracket to move the winch over, it comes with a side mounting option ??

Sorry have a problem accessing my own account - will answer all questions this weekend.

To answer yours now:

- Yes there is enough wire (cable) to make the installation without any issues.

- There is a vertical center radiator support bracket that made installation of the control box in the middle impossible.

Cheers !

Here is a pretty bad picture of what I am talking about:

Mounting it on the side was not giving me enough room between the control box and the radiator support on the side to be able to flip the on / off switch.

It is my pleasure and good luck with the install.

Please post pics when you get done

I did just find this if that helps

Hmmm. That does help, thanks. I suppose with a thinner (or no) plate frame, and a couple of new screw holes a 1/2" higher it could look more symmetrical/centered.

While I understand the need to prevent anything from getting behind it, that plastic backing for the plate is overkill imo.

This is what another member used to resolve our problem, you mount them a bit higher like you though, but be careful when drilling holes because wires and washer fluid lines run right there
