I am new here...just bought a 1995 Land Cruiser (have wanted one for quiite some time), I just received some of the components to a Smittybilt front brush / grill guard (I might not be using the proper terminology here). I am missing the main component, the part that is mounted below the bumper in the front center. I have the two pieces that flare off each side and wrap around the headlights and the bar that connects the two across the top.

I've called Smittybilt and this is disontinued and it doesn't look like they want to build one from old prints. Does anyone know where I might find one or if someone elses front bumper guard will retrofit my components? Hate to think what it would cost to fab one up that might not even look good in the end. Thanks and I look forward to learning a lot on this forum.

Search damage multiplier. The general consensus is grill guards do more harm than good unless you just like the look..You are better off buying a serious bumper ie arb or bumpit.. oh and wecome

I have a whole one sitting in my garage if you really want it, pm me....

It's not smittybuilt.

Howdy
Welcome on board first at all!
Few weeks ago I meet a man that had a Smittybilt front and rear bumper the 20 years on his cruiser and the bumpers still was looking good, and solid.
Is a really good deal with this bumpers, probably will not give you so much protection from debris like the new bumpers if you go off road, but is very tough build and I believe will stay to any impacts. Good luck in founding the missing part! Check the junkyards, never know!

The OP isn't talking about a full bumper, but a brush guard similar to the pic I posted above.

At least that's my understanding of it.

x2, Search damage multiplier(its called that for a reason). If you hit a deer or anything it bends into the body and causes more damage than is necessary. Agian though, if you like the looks though go for it.
