I need longer rear wheel studs due to disc brake conversion and aluminum wheels. They need to be 60-63mm long. I found some but the ferrule diameter is smaller. I believe stock to be 14.33. The arp brand I found on Summit is only 12.93. Will I be able to use these if they are welded to the back of the axle flange? Thanks.<><

The ARP# is 100-7708

Most of us get by using the slightly longer Napa part or the FJ60 part numbers found in this thread. https://forum.ih8mud.com/40-55-series-tech/170245-needed-longer-press-lugs-1976-fj40.html

If you want super long studs and are willing to go SAE see this post. https://forum.ih8mud.com/40-55-series-tech/233013-looking-replacement-wheel-studs.html

Thanks John. I saw those posts when I did a search for longer studs. With the added disc rotor and aluminum I need studs 60-63mm or 2.5 inches long. The ones I found on Summit are the correct length but the ferrule is about 1.3mm smaller. I wonder if I mounted the wheels with these and then welded them to the flange if they would work? Thanks.<><

Welding them to the flange seems like a bad idea to me, I would use those super long SAE ones and cut them to length if the extra bothers you.
