I am taking a pile of small parts to a local sandblaster. I am going to get a quote from him.

Any guesses out there what this box of parts should cost to have sand blasted. Just trying to prepare myself to say yes or no when he gives me the quote.

I have no idea how long it would take to blast those but the local metal shop charges $100 per hour. It's cheaper at the monument companies around here.

It looks like most of the parts are in bare metal and in good shape. I wouldn't pay a penny more than $100 to get them blasted. ERG80's $100 quote is right on (I pay $95/hr at my place) and most shops will probably have a 1 hour minimum fee. If they try and say it will take/cost any more than that walk. They are looking to rip you off.

Make sure you let the guy know that this is the beginning of the parts you'll be bringing him to blast. Tell him the tub/fenders/doors etc. are next. The should play ball then.
