I noticed this small coolant leak. Is there a clip missing on the hose here ? The hose feels very lose.

I don’t think there is a clip, it should be close to atmospheric pressure, just to the bottom of the coolant reservoir. I’d slide the hose off the nipple and clean the inside of it, and the nipple, then see if it keeps leaking. If so consider a zip tie that you can get snug.

A tip for zip ties on hoses.. if you wrap it around twice before inserting into itself this eliminates the little angle gap that is normally formed where the tie goes into the lock.

Thanks for the tip ! I was planning on adding two zip ties but might just do what you said.

Is it correct that the proper fix would be getting a new hose and that this one is just... tired ?

I agree, there is no pressure in that hose - maybe even slight vacuum when the radiator is cooling down and drawing coolant from the reservoir.

On my 2013 LC200, this hose has held up fine with no clip and no sign of any leaking/weeping:

Botton line: nothing to worry about; but the suggestions above, i.e. remove hose > clean connection > replace hose with possible addition of zip tie or clamp if active weeping is observed. A new hose would also probably solve the problem.

Probably your best bet. Part number should be 16477-50220
There is a wire clamp on the lower end. 90466-11001 if you want to have one on hand.
And yes it is important to not leak here now that I think about it. Gaijin brings up a good point in that the radiator draws coolant back through here as it cools. If it’s not tight it could draw air instead.
