Do these share the same bolt pattern as well as the same bellhousing? Thanks!

nope...they do not. Bearing retainer is a different size, tho the bolt pattern "might" be the same.

With some modification, a three-speed bellhousing can be used with the SM420, I haven't had the chance to do anything with a SM465.

I am needing a chevy bellhousing so that I can mate my sm420 to a 6.2 diesel-thats why I was asking :whoops:. Anybody have one that would work? I will post on the wanted list as well! Thanks!

Sm420 housing, look close at the center hole, the 465 is larger.
