Pulled the front drive shaft this morning to change the u joints and discovered what looks like a bit of surface rust on the slip yoke shaft surface. I want to see whether there is pitting using some scotch brite or steel wool, but don't want to screw up the seal. Also don't want to go through the effort of replacing u joints on that side if I need to pick up a new yoke sub assembly since there isn't much wear on the splines. Thoughts?
