I have a 2000 LX. The rear driveshaft slip yoke is at the rear, near the rear differential. I am looking at a 2004 LX and slip yoke on the rear driveshaft is near the transfer case. Is it supposed to be different for each year. If not, which way is correct? Thanks in advance.

On my '04 LC, the slip yoke on the rear driveshaft, which I know to be OEM, is at the transfer case end.

My '98 has it's slip yoke on the differential end. IIRC, this has been brought up before... as well as in the 80 section and the consensus was it came from the factory both ways. It doesn't make a difference.

OK. Can y'all take a look at this pic? The rear diff looks like it has a dent in the bottom and has been repainted. Thoughts?
