Some thoughts on this;
First, thieves are not that smart. They will rarely try to open a window when hitting it with a pipe is easier. I once worked unlocking cars for AAA. I could usually unlock a car without damage faster than an idiot can break glass. Shows where their minds are at! Second, a display case lock must pass between the two layers of glass. There is a seal there. The lock will cause a whistle or leak, at best. It will also scratch the heck out of any window tint you have. Third, if you don't want the window opened, just put a length of copper tube in the track like you do on your arcadia doors.
Once we lined up 5 of the AAA company Tahoes, all locked. I had all five alarms screaming and the doors open in under 4 minutes! Do you feel secure?
