Anybody have experience with sliding rear quarter windows in a 60/62 in regard to installation and durability.

I'm looking at installing a set while I have the rear glass out for painting. It'd make my Dog really happy not to have to poke his nose out over the back seat.

Aside from looking a little clunky, I'm thinking it may be a nice feature... Here's a link to the windows. What'ya think boyz?

Those aftermarket windows suck. Try to find the factory non-USA windows that came stock everywhere but in the US. MAF and SOR sell 'em

The link he posted was to SOR.

There's a set on e-bay that end today. search under FJ60.

The windows in mt 80 leak. I would not put them in my cherry 60. The watter runs down into the rear quarter pannel and forms a nice rust pool. JMHO.

SOR at times has the factory sliders. The link was to the aftermarket syle. I just looked at SOR and they aren't currently listed. The last time they did have them they were around $140 or so, a pair. MAF wasn't showing them today, either. The do leak as noted but the dogs love 'em. I tried to upload a picture of my two dogs hanging out of the window but the file was too large. Is it possible to increase the upload capacity?

The one set I saw was installed funky (maybe the shop sucked) but the owner ended up scrapping them for several reasons including the fact that at speed it created a vortex in the cab that would make your head implode

I just looked at the Ebay offering and they are the aftermarket wondows. Look at the picture, taken from the SOR site, and notice how large the frame is between the body and the glass. The factory window frame is much smaller and fits the body opening perfectly, as it should since it is factory. I've had the non-USA factory windows in for two plus years now and they are great and have never experienced the vortex problem cited.
