I'm looking for a set of sliders for my GX. I really like the style that Bundu Gear had on his Lexus. I tried to find out who built them for him but he would never respond to email or IM. Does anyone know of any available sliders that work with the GX?

Metaltech makes sliders for the 4th gen 4Runner which is on the 120 chassis, I've got a set on my 2008 4Runner. They should be the same as the GX470. You could see if those fit.

Those look great. I wonder if they will fit with the body cladding on the GX?

It might, the 4runner has a bunch of body cladding too. Basically from the "Sport Edition" emblem on the door down is all plastic cladding. It sticks down below the lower door sill as well. I know for these sliders Metaltech had to make them sit flat instead of the usual slight rise to them in order to clear the cladding when the doors opened. Its worth calling them. I would think a few quick measurements of your truck's cladding in relation to my 4Runner would help us know if there is indeed a difference. Our Chassis are the same length so slider length is the same. I would also assume that the mounts would be the same. My 4Runner came with XREAS from the factory, (since taken off and replaced with proper suspension), and the Metaltech sliders accommodate that too. Alot of assumptions here but it wouldn't hurt to look into.

"looking into" unfortunately means test fitting at their shop in Oregon :)

Mark and LT (MetalTech) were at the FJ Summit and they checked over Heather's GX470...yes, her car desperately needs sliders, but we are looking at something that's fully box tube...hardest part will be making the front flare look decent...lots of ideas out there, just none in production just yet :)

I had ACC in Atlanta make mine from scratch. They are welded on with gussets, VERY strong. I have held the weight of the vehicle many times.
