any tips or suggestions for doing this alone , other than doing as much assembly as possible on the vehicle ? I can usually figure out things and figure to use a floor jack and some jack stands to pick this heavy sob up . But I know some of you have done this ,and may have some thoughts, thanks a lot
I recently installed front (with winch) and rear Slee bumpers by myself and am still alive to tell the tale.
As both bumpers require multiple test fits to get the shims and everything correct (at least in my experience) I spent the time building up a system of wooden blocks to place the bumpers at just the correct height and be able to slide them into position and back out again. A floor jack is critical, of course.
The Slee rear is pretty easy as the rear cross member will alone support the bumper when slid toward the vehicle from the supporting blocks and jack.

x2 on the rear bumper, you should be able to lift & slide it on by yourself, then insert the shims. Christo's instructions are right on
sorta off-topic - the front BB bumper is a different matter, especially if you've installed a winch which will make it pretty d@mn heavy & difficult to balance. you'll need a floor jack &/or 2 assistants to lift & get it aligned. I had to remove a section of the brace in front of the radiator to clear the winch cage
I started with a piece of 2x6 on car ramps, with the wings of the bumper on that. Then I lifted the rear main portion into place with a floor jack. Then slide the whole thing forward as per instructions. No sweat.
@slacker24-7 I'm in Charleston SC until Saturday night. Sounds like you will not have too much trouble but if things go sideways I could make a run over to give you a hand on Sunday.
I did a slee rear 2 months ago. I had a neighbor help sliding the bumper onto the rails and that was it. I could have probably done it solo but didn't want to risk denting or gouging the truck. After that it was easy. Good luck and have fun.
Thanks guys and 78f150tx for the offer @Bomar said he would swing by and help out ,I think if I could get it picked up and hooked on the channel id be ok
Went great I had a buddy coming over to help but I got impatient and it dawned on me that I could get a 2x6x8 put it on blocks with the bumper on it where I could get a floor jack under it , worked perfectly and I was kinda embarrassed I had posted asking for ideas, the Slee bumper is the real deal with quality craftmanship perfect detailed instructions and every single little part needed.
