so i've been using my 33qt norcold fridge now for a few months and love it. even the fiancee has seen the light and loves it as well, by her own admission.

i'm looking to get a tie down setup and the engel locking slide sold by Slee seems like a good option. i searched, but don't see anyone's pictures of it installed. so... post up some pics of where you installed it and tell me what you mounted with. self tapping sheet metal screws, bolts, etc.

i've been debating the slide vs. standard tie downs, but am still hesitant and not sure what size fasteners i can put into the rear cargo without puncturing the gas tank. any insight? a couple of those laydown anchor points and some turn buckles should keep things in place.

would love to see what you guys have done. thanks!

there isn't much free space between the gas tank and the body floor pan. the safest, albeit a PITA, way would be to drop the gas tank before you drill. it's tight under there and if you are careful, you can probably do the ones on the outside edges of your cargo area without dropping the tank or incurring mishap. if you place some towards the center of the cargo hold, I would drop the tank first.

just get a helper with small hands with monkey dexterity to help secure the fasteners if your paws are big if you choose to leave the tank in place.

I use the Engle slide mount in my 60 and 40. You can find it much cheaper just about anywhere else than Slee.
