Prior to taking the truck to Colorado I removed the rear spoiler as I didn't think the rear ladder would fit with the 2006 whale tail spoiler.

I had to remove my spoiler in the middle of my rear bumper install because the ladder would not close. How did you cover the holes left by removing the whale tail spoiler?

That's a great set of upgrades and most of what's on my list!

Hey, did Slee recommend upgrading the alternator to provide better charging with the dual battery setup? If you draw one or both down during an expedition it would seem that would be quite the load on the stock alternator. Any ideas?

I decided to have a body shop weld up the holes and paint the rear hatch. They did a really good job. Since I plan on keeping the 100 for a long time I figured I'd take that approach. Plus in the winter time with all the snow and the stuff on the roads I figured it wouldn't be long before that would be a rust area. In the winter time my truck turns white from driving on the roads and the rear hatch got pretty bad before I removed the spoiler. If I lived in a climate where I didn't have to worry so much about rust I probably would have taken the bolt/washer/caulk approach.

He did not mention that as being an issue. I didn't specifically ask him about that but I think he would have said something if he's seen that come up before.

We have not seen the need to upgrade the alternators in the dual battery systems we do. Only one case did we replace it since the old one could not keep up, but that was a vehicle with a lot of accessories.

We do the IBS battery system now instead of the solenoid and marine switch. The IBS offers a more integrated solution with a monitor system vs the old way we used to do it. We do sell the IBS systems, I just have to add it to the site.

Thanks for replying. About what did you pay for the body work? I have no feel for what a reasonable price is. Thanks.
