slave cylinder spring

The spring On my slave cylinder has broken (bj60), is this an important part?
The clutch works just fine without it. Do i need a new one?

When a part broke... is always better to fix it.... even if it seem to work good.

My opinion.

i'd fix it , it helps your slave retract and that help's your clutch to last longer.

In any case I'm getting a new one on tuesday, it will be cheap enough.
