A couple rigs from Indiana will be traveling down to Slade Kentucky for a weekend wheeling event July 22nd and 23rd.

We'll arrive Friday night and set up camp at Natural Bridge State Resort Park.

Anyone in the surrounding area is more than welcome to attend.

See ya down there.

JK, wish I could join you on that one but I'm going to be "out of the net" for a while. :crybaby:

If you're interested, read about our expedition-style ride that started at/near Slade earlier in June--we rode trails and some blacktop from there to Livingston...great scenery and trails.

Here's a link to my write up with pictures, and it has links to other pics, including a GPS map of our route.

Cheers to a great trip and write up! Can't see enough of those timber rattlers... they are plentiful in EKY. Sweet map, I am thankful.. I wheeled Slade and outskirts and Livingstone but to link them is really sweet.

Post up if you are going again!

here are some of my pics of KY wheeling just to contribute a little on the topic

Wow, nice trip. I like to see that there are people that know the area and can make a trek through the backcountry. Makes for an interesting couple of days.

I could not do that in Indiana. I'd be stopping at every corn field and asking the farmer permission to cross the field.

As it is stand right now, we have some ROTR and Bluegrass cruiser coming out to join.

Jimmy,
I'll be there. Is this the same campground as last year? If it is I will be heading up earlyer Friday and will try to set up in the same area as last year.
Any idea as to who else is coming from Hoosier Cruisers?

Mark,
Great. I have the same plan. I'm leaving down after work and we'll be camping at the same location same area.

Right now, it's me, Clint, you and Travis from IL. Larry H is a maybe.

Sounds like fun. Do we have a guide lined up for the trails? I don't know if I could find the area we were in again or not.

I'll contact you on here or by phone this weekend or early next week to get any last moment changes.

Also working on a few people from down here to make the run in Aug.

Mark

FWIW...They have gated off a few trails within the past couple of months. Not sure which ones but there are rangers around from what I understand. I haven't been there since Feb.

What time are you planning on heading down this way on Friday? Johnnie and I might try to caravan down there with you guys.
If that does not work out we will catch up with you early Saturday. Are you camping at the Middlefork camp ground? Let me know....

I plan to make it now. not leaving Cincy till 1 on sat afternoon. I'll find someone when I get there I am sure. Not sure where I am camping either. I got a small tent I can fit it about anywhere.

Anyone looked into the weather? I may just leave the top at home.

Paul,
Hey, I'm prett sure we'll have spots available if you can't find anything. Two of our member had to cancel. One for broken leaf spring and the other is busy with work.

Jimmy
