Looking to get a catalytic converter shield and since I am going to go through the hassle of doing that I am considering putting some skid plates on the my GX. Has anyone gone through that process? Wondering of compatibility issues and whether to go aluminum or steel. I am leaning towards steel as I am sometimes convinced to follow my friends with Jeeps and 35" tires on some extra credit routes, however, the rig just keeps getting heavier and heavier.
