I keep getting page rendering problems browsing Mud.

The page will come up and then before it is done rendering it will goto to a standard IE error page that says the page can be displayed.

At other times I see the script and page portions rendered as garbled mess in the browser.

Is anybody else seeing this? I am having to refresh like every other time to see the page.

I have had similiar problems in FireFox.

Yup. All the time for the past few weeks. Normally it's not a big deal if I just refresh, but now I noticed that I the smilies interface doesn't work for me either. I've been meaning to post in the Help Corner, but have been too lazy.

What operating system and what version of firefox?

Would you be willing to run on firefox for a few days with the Firebug extension installed so you can hopefully give us some more info?

I started noticing the same problem yesterday. I am using Safari 3.0.4 with OS 10.5.1.

if you are running a Netgear router, then there is your problem...check some of the other threads in this section for possible cures...

I'm not experiencing any issues....

Dammit. Whay didn't anyone warn me about this? (insert slightly sarcastic pissed off smilie)

Now I have to go read?

the router isnt the issue; Im getting the same issue with both a linksys and a VERY fancy Lucent router... machines on either of the subnets are getting the same recursive errors... not to mention this is the only site that is having issues...

I'll try and isolate it....

disabled one of the forum features....let me know if the issue continues....

haha nope still buggy.... I think your right this is going to take a while!

what i NEED to do is find someone with a Netgear router that i can log in with and test things....

shoulda done it while I was @ Mace's last week....ah well....

have to address it next week, travelling today thru Fri for the holidays....don't wanna make a mess when I'm not right there to fix it...lol

Does pressing F5 (refresh) fix the issue?? it did for me with Mace's router last week....

yes for me refresh usually solves it, however sometimes you have to refresh more than once... it seems the errors are intermittent...

I've been researching.....apparrently, it IS a common problem with Netgear routers....and may also be particular to Firefox as well....

can you reset your router to an earlier software version?
