I took my GX470 on two camping trips this month. I pulled the 2nd row of seats out for both. On trip on I tried just using blankets to level the back and it didnt really work.
I built this out of a 2x4, sheet of 3/4" plywood, 8" corner supports and some hardware (M10 x70mm 1.25 thread pitch).
Bolted the 2x4 where the 4 seat mounts were and bent the corner supports to match the angle that the 2x4 naturally laid. Cut/notched the plywood to fit. Considered countersinking the plywood so the bolt heads would be flat, but i cant feel them thru the mattress anyway.
It's REALLY stable and is almost perfectly flat. I put a full size 3" foam mattress topper in the back as I've always hated air mattresses.
I didn't want to do an elevated platform as I prefer being able to sit up comfortably in the back.
