I'm going camping next weekend in the Ironwood National Monument and will be exploring the various open roads as shown on the BLM travel management plan:

I'll be getting in the vicinity on Friday evening and spending Saturday and Sunday wandering around the old mining sites and ghost town sites.

4WD may or may not be required, most likely stocker friendly. State Trust Land permit may be required, depending on routes taken.

If you would like to go along for one or more days let me know and I'll set up a meeting site.

This is were we will be on Saturday, Dec. 6 - Silverbell Mine areas, Sasco townsite and smelter ruins with(OUT) a historian!

Maybe we'll run into the tour group.

Visit Silverbell Mine areas, Sasco townsite and smelter ruins with historian William Ascarza on Saturday, Dec. 6. Or visit Apache Pass, Butterfield Overland Stage Trail and Fort Bowie on Dec. 13.
Both tours are organized trough Pima Community College and each costs $99, which includes transportation.
