Silly speedo question

I've got a '78 that has km's on the outer ring, does that make it a Canadian truck. Also, is the mileage km's or miles?

Silly boy...Trix are for kids. The odometer is in miles. Toyota put the km numbers on the speedo in case you wanted to drive it in Mexico.

i thought all the american trucks had MPH on the outer ring. especially in 78 ??

Canadian and aus had the outer ring in KPH

Well, I gues mine appears to be a '78 canadian, at least according to this pic, http://web.mac.com/gregoverton/iWeb/Diversions/Clusters_files/1978-2.jpg. I also have some type of block heater thay is in one of my heater hoses. Not able to tell if it's can. or usa since my hood has been painted and stickers are gone.

My guess is km. My 78 has mph on the outer ring and km/h on the inner.
