Like a fool, I overtorked my cork oil pan gasket and now have drips. I called the local dealer and they asked me if I want cork or silicone. I thought he was referring to a silicone gasket but in fact was he was talking about a tube sealand. "We use it all the time and it meets toyota specs" he said. "Just apply a 1/8th bead and tork."
Has anyone heard this, used it, and with any success? Sounds good and cheep enough I may give it a whirl. Worse thing can happen is another leaky pan.
