not everyone needs sliders or needs to spend $1200 on something that works the same way a factory step does....

(I will build my own eventually but for now the factory steps do what they were built to do)

Sliders are around $600-$700 these days from WKOR and BIOR...but the slee steps are great for family rigs since they look like running boards with the added protection of a slider

You could try removing the trim covering the factory running boards as they are aluminum under the plastic trim. You could probably put some black end caps on there and end up with a similar look.

BumpItOffroad could make exactly what you want. Granted the picture is of an 80 but you can get a good idea of what this guy is capable of.

I'm in the market and like that myself. I like the Slee sliders that look like running boards for $1000 is pretty steep.

Hey that was my idea!

I would get someone to fab you some steel ones (mike at BIOR has made some pretty sweet stuff like everybody says). Why wouldnt you pay 1-200 more for something that gave you the look AND functionality...plus your truck doesnt weigh enough it NEEDS steel to keep it from lifting off at high speeds

That's why I recently put my rear spoiler back on!!
Back to the topic, Mike at Bump-It makes a step-slider that isn't shown on his website. Mine should be in in the next few weeks. A little less spendy than the Slee, but the wait may be longer.

I hear he's gotten more and more backed up as people see how awesome his s*** is. WKOR makes similar ones and they will probably make you a custom step slider since they have all the measurements.

Saw this on another forum... it's the "after" picture. ;) True, not everyone needs sliders... but even if you only need them once, it'll have paid for itself.

Just try taking off your OEM ones and removing the black plastic cover. The aluminum underneath has a pretty good look that you might like.

Interestingly mine were labeled "Made in Canada".
