My driver side mirror got side swiped last night on the highway. Is was pushed forward and came/broke off base. Does anyone have a diagram. Trying to determine if I need a new mirror or just a new bracket. Electrically the mirror still works fine.

This is an old thread but I have the same issue so I thought I would revive this one.
I was wheeling in Harlan, KY this weekend and going up, a tree folded my passenger mirror and on the way back down (sliding in the KY Mud) the mirror sacrificed itself to protect the door. All of the electronics still work but the cover is cracked and rattles like crazy. Does anyone know how to take the mirror apart so I can try to fix the cover? If it is not repairable, is the cover a separate part number or do I need to source an entire used mirror?

Ebay. Passenger side is more difficult to find but are available.
