What is the correct bulb for the 03 LX side marker? Yes, I have tried the search function and I have checked the owner's manual and auto parts websites.

The owner's manual only says 5W wedge base bulb. I don't trust it anyway since the whole the whole 900X vs HX headlight issue.

Autozone and the like seem to be all over the place with 168, 194, 7743, etc.

Wedge base is pretty standard, and if you go into the store you can just look it up in the books that they have there.
194 is what you're looking for I believe. Mini wedge base.

I think 168 draws more power than the 194. I guess it shouldn't matter.

What a royal pain in the ass. I needed them to pass inspection. I drove to the shop to do it myself because I was afraid of them scratching or breaking something (and because they asked $80 for $5 worth of bulbs). And what do I do? Break the clips on both housings. Should have known better to mess with old brittle plastic when it's 30*F outside.

did you break the upper attachment point that takes the screw or the lower clip?

Two pieces of plastic per side. Definitely the one the screw goes to. Not sure of the other part. It still stays in place solid. The lens looks like the glue is loose on the driver's side so I will have to figure out how to reseal that. I hope it's as easy as warming it in the oven.

If you haven’t messed with headlights before, mind you that I’m no expert; you might want to add some more Butyl glue after all if you’re going to bake. Trying that first isn’t a bad decision first though. It just may save you a step.
Secondly, I broke the top plastic piece off of one my corner light doing a retro fit and what worked well for me was to super glue it back together then take JB Weld and wipe a thin layer over the top of the break and on each side about 1/4 inch. After it cured it was strong enough to put back on and screw down and I haven’t had an issue with it.
