Hey folks,
I want to put a set of shoulder harnesses in my 1973 FJ40. There is a plug in the upper wall of the hardtop just behind the side dome light. There appears to be a reinforcing pad beneath the sheet metal. Before I dig the rubber plug out, is that a mounting point for a shoulder belt? And if its not, what's it for?
Thanks

Yes, Roger, that is what it's for. You can also mount it to the roll bar lower bolt, but it will function better because of the angle if you mount it on the Hard Top.

Great, thanks guys. Is there a spacer or swivel or anything up there to keep it from beating up the paint?
Roger

The ones I bought came with just that built on.
