Looking at having the lift installed on the new to me 100. Last time I did it myself but the upper mount on the rear shock is a biatch...combined with the fact that I don't even have a flat driveway, well you get the picture. I have talked to the guys at IPOR and due to scheduling issues and making two twips up there, I could not get it done until well into October.

So, any local shops that anyone trusts?

I highly recommend these guys! They do great work.

call Chase over at ECGS East Coast Gear Supply
North Raleigh/Durham area off 70

This has been frustrating. 3 phone calls in the last 10 days. I gave them the part numbers and asked for a price for the kit and install. Always get "we will call or email you tomorrow". Still nothing.

Any other shops folks have had success with?

Dang Merle.... sorry bout that. They had good response for the simple stuff ive gotten.

i have no experience but you could try this guy in cary.

Larry at Rover Automotive.

Sounds like a perfect Help A Member of the Month event!!! Buy the lift and I'm sure someone can host you for the install.

I checked with IPOR as well. Seemed like good guys, prices are in line with Slee on the OME stuff and the ARB, the issue is taking the truck up dropping it off, and then making another trip to get it back. Just a pain.

I did the lisft on my '04 and finally gave in on getting the rear top shock nuts off. For one guy (and from what I read for many guys) it is really tough. Some guys have resorted to cutting a hole in the body to allow access to the top nut..yikes!

IPOR - great guys. Lance and crew are awesome and after hanging out with them at GSMTR some this year, I wouldn't hesitate to give them all my business.

Hey guys, heard about this thread from a friend on here. I take care of the service work at ECGS.

Not sure which of the sales guys you talked to but it may be that you were looking for something we do not typically carry so they had to dig up some pricing. Most of what we do is gears/axle work and we are just getting into carrying more suspension stuff. I used to specialize in suspension work and that is part of the reason they brought me on.

Either way, let me apologize for the issue and give me a shout so we can take care of you on the install if you still need it.

Give the shop a call, ask for Andy and I will make sure you are well taken care of if you still need the work done. Thanks

Andy,
I replied to your PM. Very standup of you to make the offer! I went ahead and ordered everything today from IPOR and will have them do the install when the stuff comes in.

I wish I had written down the name of the gentleman that I spoke with. Younger guy, said "___is on vacation and I am handling everything". Next call the vacation guy was back but they had the wrong type of vehicle written down. I was promised a call back that day with pricing. That was last Thursday. No harm done but I would have liked to develop a business relationship with a local shop.

That was Ryan.

He is new to the shop and new to the 4x4 industry. Chase is the owner and was out of town week before last. I was out last week at an RC competition in Oklahoma

Some of the suspension stuff has not been ECGS specialty in the past. However, with the addition of me about 2 months ago we are more than willing to take care of any of your suspension/drivetrain needs. That is my specialty. The business is growing quickly and we are adding a lot of new lines to our standard gear/drivetrain specialties. This growth is taking a bit and the sales guys are learning as they go. We will have them up and running very soon. Please feel fre to ask for me if you have a question. I spend my time in the shop but do answer tech calls when needed.

I apologize for Ryan not getting back to you. I will follow up with him. Please feel free to contact me if we can help you with something else on your build in the future.

Thanks and I look forward to working with you in the future!

Andy
