Shopping for FJ Cruiser ?'s

Buddy of mine in Boulder, CO is thinking about getting an FJ Cruiser...the used ones he's found out there are going for more than retail. Anybody here been shopping for them? Could he do better here? I still have to talk to him to get more details on what he wants...

Lewis toyota here in topeka will sell fj's at retail. they had one or two at the time but that was about 3 months ago... I've bought 2 used cars from them and I'm finding they lied through there teeth about some service that was done...new cars probably don't have that problem.

the dealer in Lawrence (forget the name right now) seemed to be a lot easier to deal with, we were looking at corolas and camrys though. I'm not sure how they'd be on an fj.

Molle (I think) and Toyota of Dallas were offering TLCA discounts when they first came out. Chris King (valkyrie610) would be a contact at ToD. He's works in the shop but can get ya in touch with the right folks..... and he's White Trash too

An L&L dealership lying to customers? Shocking!

I used to work for Lewis Chrysler in Hays (then Hays Ford Toyota once L&L bought them), they are a bunch of crooks, I think I only liked 2-3 of the sales/management people.

I could rant for hours about them, but I don't want to waste my time.

Emporia Motors has one or two on the lot as well. Should be pretty straight up about the pricing - I bought a Tundra and a Sienna from them.

My understanding is that you can buy them from COSTCO below sticker! I have not verified that, but several guys in the FJ forum's have said this. Worth checking out.
