Shop recommendation (1 Viewer)

[SHERMAN FJ62]

It looks like I need to replace my clutch on my 84 FJ60. I have used Terry over at McInstosh in the past but he is looking for $1,300 to do the job. It is a little on the high side for me. Does anyone have a recommendation? The dealership might be a little cheaper since they are bill the job at 7 hrs at about $750 for labor.

I'd say do it yourself and save a grand, but that's just me..

We did the clutch in my -40 at my office. A real trans jack would have been nice for removal.... but @dbenke rolling trans jack worked better when we put it back.... having a lift was a bonus.

Maybe in a year I'll be able to do it in my shop (not garage)
