-$300 knuckle rebuilt
-$200 new starter
-$2000 all new brake system
-$2000 new suspension (shocks and springs)

Those are just basic maintenance/tune up DIY estimates.....
You are already $6k in for maintenance considering doing all the work yourself without running into any issues due to rust.....

Makes me wonder why have 80s

It can always be worse! My friend has his F150 LED headlights with the radar array replaced for 6k.
