Hoping someone can shed light on this!

I am putting new OEM shocks on the front of my 2005 GX.

Would think the shock actuator (different shock settings) needs to align with the new shocks?!

Can I just turn the actuator rod by hand so it lines up with actuator pin?

Is the shock OEM? They should match to normal position. If your actuator does not match, it probably already seized and not working anymore. I would rotate the shock adjuster instead of the actuator. They need to match it it would not work.

I believe it is a worm gear actuator, you would not be able to rotate it by hand.

Thanks for getting back to me.

1. The shocks were new a year ago. The guy put them on and then decided to do a lift so they are takeoffs! Look brand new! Yes OEM!
2. So rotating the adjustor rod on the shock is OK? Would it be possible to install new shocks and turn the firmness dial on the console till it matches?

Now that I think about it I also have the actuators that were on the new shocks! I would guess that they will match the new shocks since they were taken off them?!?!?

Again, appreciate the support!
