@chuckscap, Wow, 2 kids in college, yeah the truck can have OEM parts. I commend you on getting the kids there... Some days I don't know how I will get to the next step, much less through grade school, & beyond... My kids are 5 & almost 2...

Just curious why it was either OEM or Icon stage 3 for your shocks... There are a number of options between those two aren't there?

I found all four 2.0 Fox shocks on Amazon for about $500.

I heard mixed reviews on IH8MUD of Fox some very good some not so, same for Ironman Foam, I'm sure they're better than OEM but at $39 apiece and Land Cruiser made their rep with OEM parts, I felt it was a good way to go. Icon Stage 3s though may be in my future

Wow $39 apiece.... I see your point. I am sure they are excellent quality, & what a price point. I'll have to see what they cost out here, & look online....

Mainland prices can be soo much better.

Our only on island Toyota Stealership, er I mean "Dealership" is not associated with Toyota of North America. They are rumored locally have closer ties to Yakuza than Toyota...
They have a nice locked down market with no competition to deal with...

I hear Servco Toyota on Oahu is best in the state.... Doesn't help me much on an outer Island.

Hope you get the Icon stage 3's. Then we can hear how nice they are.

I'm running Tough Dog adjustables and love them. Huge 50mm bore which is as larger than most on the market. Make sure you have stronger tortion bars included in the kit.

I have a 2002 LX470 with lift-kit and 35 inch tires fitted. Front and rear heavy duty Terrain Tamer shocks. It rides very well. However, I mounted new Terrain Tamer shocks in front and they were both completely defect and had to replaced under warranty. I did not drive offroad just tarmac. Any problems with Terrain Tamer shocks in combination with a lifted LX470? What can be reason both frontshocks are defect? Any suggestion for preventing this?

Do you have springs/torsion bars with appropriate spring rates? Keep in mind it is a suspension system ... more than the sum of the parts.
