I was not sure where to post this but here it goes.

I am trying to ship my M-37 (pickup truck) located in Washington to Alaska and could use some suggestions.

I am not sure I want to drive it up and I know about TOTEM ocean freight.

Does anyone know any trucking company that ships cars/trucks to Alaska?

Is anyone by chance driving up with an empty car hauler this fall?

Any advice from anyone with experience shipping or have shipped vehicles to Alaska would be appreciated.

Brian.

From what I recall when I moved from Alaska to Florida there was no "trucking" option. You take your vehicle to the port and drop it off. Several weeks later you pick it up at the port of your choice. Unless you are concerned about the truck making the trip I'd drive, it's beautiful. Fuel prices may be a bit extreme but the cost of shipping may not be much better. You'll have to price it out. Shouldn't be too bad from Washington to Anchorage though. My FJ40 made it to Florida but it had a dead battery by the time it got here, the starting directions must not have been clear enough.

Good luck,
Bret

Hi All:

This should be in "Chat!"

Anyways, I'd say it is easy: fly down to Wa. State to get the M37, then drive it onto the Ak. Ferry at Bellingham. Enjoy the cruise up the Inside Passage!

Regards,

Alan

If you arrange it in advance, provided the vehicle can move on it's own, the ferry will ship vehicles.

But the ferry is bloody expensive. Think $3k from Bellingham to Juneau. Then there's still the trip across the 'sound.
