Shift solenoid A - 96 Toyota 4runner (1 Viewer)

I have a 96 4-runner and the CEL came on...

3.4 v6 4x4 with the auto 4 speed tranny...

My ODB2 scanner says PO0753, shift solenoid A..... Of course Toyota lists the solenoids as Number 1, Number 2 and number 3....

Guessing, I would think A and #1 are one in the same....

Anyone know for sure before I spend $$$ on the part.

Basically the tranny acts like it is starting off in 2nd gear with the lever in D.... and it throws the code.

Any help is appreciated.

Already figured it out, A is #1.... According to the manual I just downloaded.

I have this same thing going on. Any resolution? Do I replace the solenoid or I have heard it is an electrical thing.
