Has anyone purchased a Woodward Fab 48" 16 gauage sheet metal brake from Summit Racing? I have looked at Northern Tool and they have a similiar unit for $499.99. The one from Summit is $579.00 and I have to pay shipping. Another $120 bucks

Northern Tools unit only bends 18 gauge and it has CHINA stamped all over it.:bang:

The one from Summit will bend 16 gauge and online looks better.
Both have removable fingers for box bends.

With the purchase of my 1970 FJ40 I need some new panels and this would be a great way to justify buying a new tool.
Any feedback would be helpful.
Thanks

Woodward's stuff is import too. I've seen them at the car shows. They're decent, but no better than the other ones out there in that price range.

I picked up the Enco version the other year: Enco - Guaranteed Lowest Prices on Machinery, Tools and Shop Supplies

I'm pleased with it. It's currently on sale for $549.95. I've seen it down to $499.95, but cannot say how recently.

If you have some time before you want to purchase, subscribe to the Enco and MSC (different divisions of same company) newsletters and keep an eye on their sales for the brake.
