Hi

I'm looking to copy the two welded-on sway bar brackets on the rear axle of a 60 series. Could anyone share some decent pictures of the brackets please? I'm interested to know how tall they are from the axle housing and their approximate angle.

Thanks!

~45 degrees and 1.25" tall
For whatever reason the right one is wider than the left.

Thank you very much indeed, really appreciated! Strange indeed how the right-hand bracket is wider than the left and the mounting seems to be offset.

The brackets actually look very much like the front axle brackets so that's good to know.

Going onto my 1989 BJ60 FF with LSD :)

I've had time to make up a couple of brackets, adapted from 1.5" 3 mm box section. By holding calipers up to my screen to try to figure out comparative measurements, and checking dimensions of the front axle brackets, and of course your measurements, I think I have them pretty close to factory.

I'm still not sure why the brackets are different left and right. I suspect that the RH bracket is wider to avoid being welded directly onto the axle tube weld. I know there are two different sway bars (one thicker than the other); mine is the thick type - perhaps the thinner bracket is somehow spaced differently.

I've seen a couple of pictures of 60 series rear axles with identical brackets either side, but the majority seem to be different.

Anyhow, thanks very much for your measurements - very helpful!
