Shackle reversal ? Again...

plan on doing a shackle reversal soon....ive been reading alot and researchin...QUESTION ive noticed there are two different designs....MAF requires the leafs to be flipped.long side towards the shackle.
proffitscruisers does not require the leafs to be flipped.short side towards the shackle.

Is this because one design is for a SOA and the other SUA, castor?
