Long shot, but hoping someone could help.

Rebuilding parts of the suspension on my 60. I ordered all new bushings from Energy Suspension and ARB Add a leafs for rears. For reference, I have aftermarket lifted shackles (rears are 5.5 and fronts are 4.5). Dont know brand or anything about them as they were on the car when i purchased it. I wanted to keep shackles because i like the lengths and want to keep the predicted vehicle height accurate once AAL's are installed.

I took the rear apart and went to go test fit the bushings and realized the bolts are way too tight in the bushings. I measured the bolt size and they're 3/4 inch, NOT 18mm like stock would be. The difference in size is enough for me to not push forward with install, as I dont feel that it will be right when done. So here are my questions;

1. Can I still use the shackle plate and replace the 3/4 bolts with an 18mm bolt (CCOT sells a set) or will that be a bad idea, as the shackle hole is for 3/4" and would have about a 0.05mm difference?

2. Should i drill out the bushings to fit the 3/4 size bolt?

3. Are there 3/4" bushings easily sourced?

Bonus question; Anyone got a good suggestion for how to reinstall the spring alignment clamps with the AAL's installed?

Thanks!

Trying to drill out bushings so they’ll fit oversized shackle bolts is not a recommended option
