wont confuse me...my job is Cyber Security and information systems....

I dont think the problems you list are current issues...maybe with first or second OS versions but it is a very stable platform....

Some just buy for name brand with no real concern for bang for the buck.....they want to be an apple person so they buy like the other sheeple...rather than realizing others make comparable and sometimes better products for less money. )

In the end it is what you are more comfortable with that meets all of your needs for the price you are willing to pay. So far there is not one single thing my Droid cannot do that my friends can on their Apple....and some I can do better...like borrow charger from anyone at airport or bus station to recharge as all regular phones are standard now.....except Apple. LOL

I am an Apple fanboy, admittedly, now. I use to have nothing but Palms, Blackberrys and one Droid, PC's(which are complete s***). My preference is Apple. Better online support ect ect ect.
Now, there may be a thing or two a Droid can do over the IPhone but I have yet to see it.

hell no, mikey needed private tutors in school for Paint By Numbers.....he needs attorneys to help him write a check.....and an accountant to count his change on the dresser every morning. Artistic to mikey is putting the bbq sauce on left to right rather than up and down one day from the next.:flipoff2:
 
Well I'm a iPhone user but I built my PC, can't do that with an apple. Most programs wont run on an apple. And people that was a laptop with windows sucks isn't actually talking about the operating system (typically) they are talking inf about the fact they bought a POS. buy alien ware laptops, them tell me that windows sucks. If I built a computer for 2500 or bought the top of the line apple computer, that built Computer will blow your socks off. So being an apple fan just means you like to spend a lot of money to say you have one, and you don't really know about computers. Because Linux is the best OS. Period.

For gaming maybe but in real world applications and for business, PC's suck. All the business owners I know, hate them; attorneys, CPA's(my father-in-law especially) and other restaurant owners. My business is run off of PC's, office and POS system. ALL problematic. In 2011 I lost $18,000 in 3 days due to PC and POS issues. I have a contract to have everything maintained but they are crap. I've been using PC's in my business and personal life for 25 years and have been through 20 PC's. I've had the same two Apple' for 5 years with ZERO issues and they have been used a lot and hard. Sorry, but you can't sell me on a PC after my experiences. My Apple products have been delightful and headache free to use.
I'm going to need to buy a new laptop(dropped mine in a grease trap) and I can get a Apple refurb with 15" i7 processor and the works for $1300. My Apple computer is a refurb with a scratch on it and it's still blistering fast and trouble free after 5 years of extensive use.
My buddy who made a crap ton of money building computers and those large computer room, also, developing technological security systems for the white house still replaces his computers or rebuilds them every year. Screw that.
I don't need a bad ass Alien laptop that you mentioned because I quit playing video games two decades ago.
I want something trouble free and easy to use, something I can depend on.

Brock, I have a few Apple stickers that are looking of a new home, hmmmmmm.
 
You do know MacOx, Linux, Unix are all the same thing with somewhat different front ends.
Apple uses Intel and Linux but build everything in house. They have more. Intros and oversight. You pay a premium but I'm happy to pay $300 more.
 
more generalizations....PCs are not the problem...proper maintenance, administration, updates and knowing what you are doing is the key. We run nothing but Microsoft for work except for a few Linux servers......and if properly maintained they are very solid.

this day an age no system is trouble free....impervious to hackers, malware, trojans or malicious software....

I run my systems at home for 3-4 years before replacing...and do everything from photography processing, music, movies as well as regular email and websurfing.

Like I said....buy what makes you comfortable....but many of the complaints of various systems of the past no longer hold true.....just the old tales are hard to kill. Dont buy the proper RAM, Processor, Hard Drive, Operating System and applications and any system will suck. Spend some time researching and ensuring you are getting what is best for you rather than what someone else is telling you....PRICELESS.
 
Ummm, I'm not doing what others say. I actually use both O'S on a daily bases,from morning to night. One OS works regardless ALL OF THE TIME.
Sp, you have to regular maintenance, repairs and last you 3 years? Thanks for validating my talking points.
