Need to do the regular service on my HDJ100 - oil, oil filter, fuel filter, air filter. Not getting any hits online for these OEM parts in EU though. This bundle would be perfect, but it's in UK and doesn't ship to EU: Genuine Toyota Filter Kit Land Cruiser HDJ100 without PRE Fuel Filter - https://www.roughtrax4x4.com/bfk011gen-genuine-toyota-filter-kit-land-cruiser-hdj100-without-pre-fuel-filter.html

I will try to hit up the local Toyota dealer, but something tells me their price will be far higher.

Also, what is this fuel pre-filter anyway? Are there two different fuel filters and do I need to swap out both of them?

Ultimately, should I try to get the OEM parts or are there non-OEM parts out there that are just as good?

Generally, most guys will try to stick to OEM when possible. You could check out Partsouq.com, I'd bet they'll ship to you.
Thanks, for some reason I thought Partsouq was US only, I'm checking them out. What's the consensus on those "Made in Thailand" parts with Toyota branding, by the way?

I'm also cautious about importing from outside EU, recently having been hit with fat customs bill when I bought stuff from Amayama.

I'm in a similar boat, I routinely order from Partsouq, and just ordered a ton of stuff (£3K's worth) from Japan4x4 (in Japan) and get hit with VAT & import duty, but it's still worth it over main dealer. Funnily enough, Roughtrax are 20 minutes from my house and I ordered some bits from them the other day, didn't realise they were did those service kits (although I'm not 100% sure how they compare on price).

If I can help with shipping anything to you let me know, but the endless curse of Brexit probably won't help you get a better deal.

Don't quote me but I would imagine partsouq would ship all over. They're based in the middle east.

Can't say about the made in Taiwan parts.

I personally don't think (again, I'm just a random jackass on the internet) you have to worry too much with any good quality oil filters; regular oil (+filter) changes matter more. I run Mobil 1, lots of good options if OEM isn't readily available like Quaker State, KnN, etc. For the air and fuel filters I'd stick with OEM.

I'm guessing cause you said fuel filter that it's a diesel? I wish we had that option here in North America.

That makes sense. I just have no idea when the filters were replaced by the previous owner, so I'm going to do them all and get at the very least the air and fuel OEM ones.

Yeah, HDJ100 is 4.2 diesel, whereas UZJ100 is 4.7 petrol - the one you have in US.

I moved out of UK a month ago myself, so of course I'm still getting top search results from UK, while finding something similar in the entire EU is proving a lot more difficult than I thought it would be. I couldn't find that filter kit Rough Trax is selling anywhere else unfortunately.

Definitely consider partsouq, but it may also be worth trying your local Toyota dealer, give them the part numbers (available on partsouq) so you can directly compare.

Yeah, I called the local Toyota dealer and their price was only like 20% higher than Partsouq, so I placed an order with them. There will be less hassle with customs and stuff. Oh and by the way, Partsouq had minimum order of $500, so that was the main reason why I didn't order from them this time.

Woah, crazy - what country are you in?

I'm in EU, so I figured that has to be the minimum amount to warrant "free" delivery. Maybe Parsouq is still worth consideration when buying something over $500, but I think Amayama prices will be hard to beat in most cases.
