I have an 05 sequoia as well and I fixed my rear window a few months back. I have few questions for you first...

Did it ever work?
Does it try to move and get hung up or not even try?
Have you done any work on the truck electrical system or disconnected battery recently?
Can you use the key in the back door lock ( ie hold at in lock positipn to lower window) with a different result?

There is an electrical reset trick if the power has been recently disconnected from the battery for any reason. Hold the switch at the drivers knee in up position for count of 5. Not sure if this applies in your case.

Try the easy stuff first and then dig in. The track and electrics are relatively simple to access through the inside panel of the back door.

I fixed my rear window just after buying it 3 months ago by following the directions in this thread: Rear Window, Defrost, Wiper not working

There is a small spring and bracket that you remove after taking off the rear panel. Super simple and seems to be the right fix in most circumstances. You can find the TSB instructions in that thread.

I did the spring and bracket removal as well. Fixed mine in an 06.
