I just was replacing the brushes in my alternator and realized the connections on the brush holder are breaking free and causing the engine fuse to pop when they make contact with the brush holder cover. I searched the threads that have the part number including the Denso one but can’t find it in stock anywhere. I thought I had one on order till I got an email that the order was cancelled.

The reason this is semi urgent is I am on a military trip up in China lake and my truck is my DD. So when I get home next week. I’ll only have my motorcycle which is difficult with two kids. Lol

I also have very limited access to internet and phone here( as in if I stand in this one spot and I get one bar) so I will do my best to check back for replies.

Also by the way it a 1988 24v BJ74 with and External regulator.

Thank you in advance for any help out there

This might not help you in the slightest bit, but last week I had an alternator issue and was looking at replacement parts on line, which was proving very difficult...
I finally took a different tactic and started calling around Denver for places that rebuilt alternators. After finding a place that had been in business for years and years I took the alternator to them to look at. He told me how many parts are shared on these alternators between all Toyotas and Hondas and then he replaced diodes and brushes without any special orders from Partsouq or Megazip, etc.
Might be an avenue worth exploring?
