I've avoided facebook since it began. but with 4 x 2h blocks in the garage I have to sell some parts and make room. Straight away a local engine builder came for a conrod. He has rebuilt over 6000 engines, a wizard.
Here is a link to a hz rebuild he has done!

Facebook can be really hard work for sellers.. I detest it, but unfortunately so many people are abandoning Gumtree etc because they are already in the Facebook app.. it sucks because once there's no viable competition Facebook will start charging.

Thanks for that video link, I quickly took a look and plan to watch all of it tonight over dinner.

Yep, hegemony.
Gumtree is pathetic now and the saved search engine will drag up all sorts of stuff unrelated to what you want..
I also found a good chassis from a fj troopy on facebook, very happy about that $300. Except it is not rolling, so should be a challenge. 4.8m

And a young fella from a sheep farm in Shepparton is taking my old chassis. Really didn't feel like welding it.

Agree that facebook will soon charge a fee. But still, never know what's round the corner.

Who would ever pay a fee for FB? 😳😂

All the young folks I know say FB is for old people. 😂

Seems popular with lazy folks, those who want to spew their politics on others, those who like their data farmed and the FBI. 😂😂😂😂

It also seems super popular in countires like Australia, all the good Aussie 4wd forums have died since FB came out. In Latin America WhatsApp groups are super popular, not my thing either. Tried it, didn’t like it.

I am old enough to remember when MySpace died. FB will die too and already is from what I have seen/heard. As you can tell, I am a fan of FB! 😂

You are supposed to put for sale ads in the for sale section by the way.

Hijack off.

Cheers

Not much use for selling Landcruiser stuff in Australia unfortunately.

yeah a fella wanted my 2h crank shipped to Texas, $1500aud was the quote! which I did advertise in the classified section on mud, but not much use in Oz.

I don't think I would pay for facebook, especially I just joined, only got one friend!.
But at present, seems the best for selling and buying down here. Always open to a hijack.

eBay used to be worthwhile, then became an online $2 shop.
Gumtree was a good replacement for the old school paper trading post, but then eBay bought it to eliminate the competition and it's slowly gone to shìt. Surprise surprise!

I've tried to market place to find parts. About to stick my toes in and try sell some stuff too.

Apparently means I need to download the Facebook app! :bang:

I have not done the fb app, gudgeon, that invites satan..I do it on the laptop only.
generally avoid apps, however I do have chess.com app, that's a ripper..

Will see how the app goes. I generally avoid Facebook like the plague
