I am selling my JB4 tune for my LX. Simple plug and play. Provides code reading, code clearing, and data logging. No flashing required.

Here is a link to the classified thread.

Dam, a cruiser putting down that power has to be amazing.

Link to the product page contains dynos, dragy, and install instructions.

can you reflash this back to stock tune and is there a trail that Lexus can see that ECU was running a tune?

It can be reflated via your phone in about 5 seconds.

There is no trace left behind, however, if Lexus dug in they could see that your vehicle was producing more boost than it typically should.

I have tuned about 5 cars (all with JB4) over the years the LX, the new Supra, and several bmws. I have never had any issues, but that does not mean that something couldn’t arise.

From my understanding, and I am sure others are more knowledgeable with a piggyback tune like this, but it basically fools the vehicle to provide more boost. As opposed to flashing an ecu which makes permanent changes until reflashed.

With the piggyback, the LX may be producing 10lbs of boost, but the car thinks it’s on producing 7lbs (due to the piggyback), so it adds more boost.

I have been told that if a manufacturer digs deep enough into the data, any tune can be discovered. With that being said, I have never removed any of my JB4 tunes when in for service and have never had an issue.

From what I understand, it's just a piggyback fooling the ECU into more boost. It uses the OEM stock ignition/fuel tables.

If an issue does come up, they can see in the logs that something was "off" with the unexpectedly high fuel duty cycles for a set amount of boost. i.e: Why were the fuel trims x and boost level was y...

If the LX had a unique powertrain, you could piggyback all day and no one would suspect a thing. The problem is that a lot of Tundra owners will probably run these so Toyota will wise up pretty soon.

I'm pretty sure it remaps the fuel. The jb4 is a lot more involved than you think. I had a jb3 on a 335 years ago. Blew the doors off a lot of vehicles
