Ad can be located on Boise craigslist. I hate to do it but my urge for a Corvette has gotten to strong. I am looking for a 1968 - 1971 T-top vette numbers matching, automatic with AC. If anyone wants to trade, let me know. 1981 Toyota Land Cruiser BJ44V Right Hand Drive DIESEL!!

I've seen this rig in person and would be willing to check it out for anyone who is interested.

Awesome,
if you could only wait about 3 years!

Bump...Only one I can find that is for sale in the US!!!

Amazingly enough, there's a BJ44 for sale in Portland, OR. $19500!

Love these trucks!

So my price is looking pretty good. Do you have a link to this particular cruiser or pics??

Not to disrupt your thread, I just wish I had the $$$ to buy one of these!

4 pics, has the "zebra stripe interior" and lots of other stuff.

Not sure why, but the link keeps getting messed up, so type "http://"

then

"portland.craigslist.org/mlt/cto/800867362.html"

HMMM, going off of what is written in this add, mine is certainly nicer and for a grand less. :)

It's bad form to promote or even mention another truck on someone else's classified thread. You should delete that post. Makes it look like you're trying to sell your truck on BJ44V's thread.

Poor form? Sheesh.

I have no affiliation with either truck. I wish one of them was mine to sell!

I had just finished the daily ritual of checking my local Portland, OR craigslist for 'Cruisers, when I read this thread, checked out the beauty of BJ44Vs cruiser and then read BJ44V's posting of:

"Bump...Only one I can find that is for sale in the US!!!"

And I thought, AHA!

I think the comparison helps validate/confirm BJ44Vs price, and as he put it "mine is certainly nicer and for a grand less."

AND, I'm done dealing with this. Admin can delete, whatever, BJ44V, good luck, nice truck, seeya!

Thanks Eporter, I don't mind. Like I said I think the other one for sale makes mine look like a sweeter deal. No hard feelings. If mine sells it sells, if not I will keep it. I do love my truck. I just want a sports car now. Thanks for everyone's inputs!!!!

Didn't mean to jump on you. i"ve had this happen to me in the past and it always frustrated me. BJ44V doesn't mined so I apologize for chiming in.

Good luck in your trade up for a 68-71 vette. Prices now are quite high. Corvettes at Carlise has an auction every year in PA (not too far from me) and prices have continued to go up and up. With the economy tanking as it has I thought I would see prices go down and they have for some lesser desirable cars. You can't touch a nice Big Block vette for under 20k. Good luck finding a real cherry small block for under that.

I warn you to be an educated consumer when it comes to corvette shopping. Having owned a number of them, they have their quirks just like our cruisers, BUT they hide expensive repairs easily. A matching numbers car, doesn't always mean the number match etc etc. Good luck and do your homework on the plastic car. I love them but they are a royal PITA to work on and own.

Bump for one last oportunity. If this rig doesn't sell in the next week I will be taking it off the market. I am now having second thoughts.

Beautiful rig. I don't suppose you know of any still in Japan that are for sale which I can ship to Australia?

Cheers,

Josh

Bump...O.K. I guess I am willing to keep trying. I found a car I REALLY want but this rig has to go first. This is a rare opportunity to own a REALLY nice piece of Cruiser history that is already in the USA and registered. All of the leg work and hard work of importing these beasts has already been done.
I would even be willing to deliver up to 4 - 500 miles from location if the asking price is paid.
