Selling a hand gun out of state question

IIRC, you need someone with a FFL on both ends. Shoot Landpimp a pm, he's in the biz now..

Go to Gunbroker.com and read up on shipping firearms out of state. The buyer should provide you with an FFL that you can ship to, and should also mail you a copy of their FFL license. You can validate the FFL online (I think Gunbroker.com has a link to the government site). The FFL will do the required background checks before releasing the firearm to the buyer.

Not all shippers will ship firearms. UPS will, but only at their main hubs and not their UPS Stores. You will need to declare that you are shipping a firearm, should include a copy of the FFL in the package, and declare that there is no ammunition in the package.

When shipping a firearm across state lines, you want to go by the book and not take any risks.
