Thats a nice silver LX they have. I looked at the truck at Manheim auction before it sold. I had wanted to try and buy it through the auction but didn't have the time to watch it but I do know what it sold for. it didn't need much and was in really nice shape when it sold. I have spoken with them and they have been very responsive and friendly. seems to be a family owned and operated business.

Would you be willing to share what it sold for? Were you looking to buy to resell or as a personal vehicle. Everything checked out on it? Maintenance, undercarriage (given PA), etc?

Howdy. I've been to this place to check out an LX earlier this year. Their markup is a bit much on some of these. They are very friendly. However, check out the 05 Black Garnet LC they have up for sale. It's listed at >5,000 more than they paid for it. A local guy was selling it for 17k and I couldn't get out of work early enough to check it out and they snapped it up. I'm all for the free market economy and capitalism believe me. I actually called Select Auto asking what they had done to justify the markup... at least he was up front and told me it was not much more than there xxx-point inspection and giving it a "detail". All of this being said, I think it would be worthwhile if you have the cash and get a PPI before buying.

The only weird thing I experienced during my test drive was the following:

Steering wheel was turning ~3-5 degrees to the right when the car was driving straight. My mom had an LX and I never experienced that in her 5 years of ownership. The dealer (who I believe was the owner), stated that the cars were designed this way in case you fall asleep at the wheel... that way the car goes off to the shoulder and not into oncoming traffic. To me that was a load of crap and sounds like the usual garbage any stealership spews, but I could be wrong. If anyone has data to back this up I'm open to learning.

Overall, the people were pleasant to deal with and were never pushy. They are EXTREMELY confident in their ability to source and sell solid cars at the markups they list them at.

Hope this helps.
