Anyone have a solution to unseizing bell cranks when they are still on the rear?
this is for an 88' 62' wagon.

Or do I have to take apart my rear breaks completely

thanks guys.

My buddy the Toyota tech took a blunt end on his impact gun and gave them a good vibratin' :)

He said they usually ditch the rubber boots right away (they collect dirt) then really lather the cranks up with anti-sieze, repeating whenever you rotate your tires.

ahh, yeah I thought the same thing about the rubber bits, esp since one of mine is ripped its seems like a place to keep salt, dirt, and moisture. I'll be tearing them off after work..

I used pb blaster and some shots with my hammer. I guess i just need to do it a little harder

thanks for the advice

It sounds like you are going about it the right way. Keep hitting it with BP and a BFH (BIG FAWKING HAMMER).

Once done convert to disks and forget about it.

I replace everything with new when I run into this. On re-assembly I coat everything with white lithium and load that rubber boot to the gills with it. The 80 went through this 4 years ago at 70k, it now has 210k and no issues.

I've done this on my 60 and a few 4Runners over the years.
