My wifes been driving the cruiser for a few days and noticed some pulling to the left.I had a look and the rim was black with brake dust.
Removed wheel and found a SEVERLY SEIZED caliper.
Will get both calipers rebuilt tomorro.
12 years of hard braking with barely a look in is not bad.
Need her ready for the weekend so heres hoping.

If the little dust boots get damaged water, dirt and crud gets into the piston area and rusts the piston siezing them. When I give my truck a service I always check the dust boots when I check the brake pads. If I find a cut in the boot I clean it in Brakleen then use some Loctite 406 (superglue) to repair the damage.

Just be thankful you don't drive a Patrol, they have slide pins that sieze solid every couple of months as well as a big single piston that is a #@$% to fix. The cruiser setup is a far superior setup to the poo-trol IMHO.

It got that hot Im going to remove the hub and clean and regrease the wheel bearings. Only really happened after I pushed the pistons back to change the pads about a month ago.All was good befor that.Rustiness strikes again, or is that laziness?

When the pads are low the piston is exposed to be rusted, when they're pushed back in the extra diameter causes them to sieze.
Yeah good idea to check the wheel bearings if it got hot.
Very easy to miss picking up on these things because usually very little goes wrong with these trucks normally.
